Dr. Mintz is a graduate of Stony Brook University earning her B.S. in Biology, Master in the Arts of Teaching and a PhD in Science Education. Dr. Mintz is a New York State Master Teacher Emeritus. As a master teacher, she works on advancing her practices as a teacher. She has joined a professional network of 550 STEM educators dedicated in deep knowledge of content, of pedagogy and their students' families and communities. She is a member of the Long Island Association for Chemistry Teacher Support (LIACTS) which meets monthly to facilitate the collaboration of chemistry teachers across Long Island. Dr. Mintz was recently appointed to the Pre-AP Chemistry National Faculty.
Dr. Mintz presents annually at the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS) and offers science specific professional development.
